Last weekend while I was in Baltimore, I had the pleasure of meeting Lucy. She is a 7 year old Lhasa Apso who found herself in an animal shelter at the tender age of 2. Yes, even small purebred dogs end up in the shelter. Crazy, right? Luckily, Lucy’s adopter had been in contact with a local rescue group and they knew she was looking for a dog just like Lucy! The rescue pulled Lucy and it was love at first sight. Lucy has been a loyal + constant companion for her mom ever since.
Over the past 5 years, Lucy + her mom have been through a lot of ups and downs. That is one of the main reasons she wanted to do a session with me. As I’ve said before, I love doing sessions for rescued animals. I just think the bond between them + their adopters is so unique and beautiful. You could just tell that Lucy absolutely adores her mom. And the feeling is mutual.
Lucy’s mom chose two AMAZING locations for their session – Mount Washington Mill and The Village of Cross Keys. Each provided a unique and interesting backdrop for their session, which is what I adore most about this session. I LOVE doing sessions with an urban vibe. Love love love. So please enjoy these images of Lucy and I’m sure you’ll be seeing her face soon in my online portfolio because these are some of my favorite images yet!
