I spent over 3 hours at Charleston Animal Society on Saturday morning, photographing pups. I can’t even tell you how wonderful it makes me feel to spend time with these dogs – especially right after I take their photo and I am able to watch them have some fun for a few minutes of their day. On Saturday, Roxy showed me what a champion she is at playing fetch, which we played after her photo session. Mogley gets the prize for best hugs of the day. And the little shepherd/lab mix (with no name yet… he’s ID #113722) just snuggled in my arms as we sat in the warm sun after his photo session. That is what it’s all about, folks. Sitting there with my little nameless pal, I just thought to myself how lucky I am to work with these homeless pups and to play a part in their happy ending. I seriously almost started crying just looking at him snuggle as close to me as he could, happy as a clam. So stinkin’ sweet. But enough blubbering from me… I could go on and on all day about my volunteer work, as many of you know.
Here is what you’ve all come to see… the cute photos of the adoptable pups! Polly Prissy Pants, Ruby, Bella, Benje, Mogley, Cookie, Mabyn, and Norman are currently in the adoption room and the rest of these precious pups are patiently waiting their turn to head out into the adoption room soon. Enjoy!
**UPDATE: Polly Prissy Pants, Mogley + Norman were all adopted Saturday! Bella, Benje + Cookie were adopted on Sunday! Did I mention how awesome Charleston Animal Society is? They really work so hard to find their dogs great homes… and they do it so quickly. Amazing!
