Early last month, I had the privilege of meeting Ellie, a beautiful 8 year old terrier/Maltese mix.  She was found in Modesto, California, wandering the streets by the ASPCA, and was transferred to a rescue before her mom adopted her at age 3.  Ellie is seriously one of the happiest, most well-mannered dog I’ve ever met… and I’ve met a LOT of dogs!  Not surprisingly, she has her license as a companion dog and she visits schools, churches, retirement homes, and is currently working on getting approval to visit MUSC hospital here in Charleston.  Just from the brief amount of time I spent with her, I know that Ellie was born to be a companion dog.  She really is just so sweet and gentle!

Last month, we spent an evening together in her backyard and in an abandoned field across the street from her home in Mount Pleasant.  It was a beautiful evening and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Ellie and her fabulous mom!  Here are some of my favorite images from Ellie’s portrait session…
