(C) Dana Cubbage Photography 2014

Back in August, I announced that I was taking a break from pet photography.  My wedding photography business grew by leaps and bounds this year and I’ll be the first to admit, I was feeling guilty about how that impacted the growth of my pet photography business.  I felt stagnant and that I didn’t have the time I wanted to devote to my pet photography.  Instead of leaving my blog + website lonely + outdated, I  thought it would be best to announce some sort of “break” from pet photography.  At the time, I didn’t quite know what that meant – but it felt good to “let it go” for a while.

Since then, I have received a ton of emails + messages from fans + potential clients.  I honestly had NO IDEA that there was still such a demand for my pet photography services!  I’m thrilled to know that there are people out there that love my work and who want to work with me… because pet photography is where it all started for me.  And it’s something that is so close to my heart!

After some soul searching, I have decided to “reopen” for business, in hopes that I can still serve those clients who want to work with me + who really want to invest in preserving their pets’ legacy through pet portraiture.  Due to my limited schedule, I will be taking on a limited number of weekday pet photography commissions each year.  If you or someone you know is interested in a pet portrait session, please let them know that I’m back.

I am also in the midst of revamping my website + blog, with hopes of launching something fresh before the end of the year.  So stay tuned!!  Thank you all for the continued support and for showing me that what I do really IS important + valuable to you all.  I look forward to many slobbery kisses this winter and in 2015!
