I’m bursting at the seams to share this news with you all – or should I say ya’ll?  We’re officially headed to Charleston, South Carolina… like, packing up a truck and moving all of our stuff down this weekend.  We’ll be back in Maryland next week and then we’ll be in SC for good after next week!  Holy moly… seriously?!  Saying Writing this out loud just made things very real… and slightly nauseating.  I keep reminding myself to take deep breaths… it kinda works, but then again I don’t think anything would make this process any less stressful than it has been.  I understand now why no one (except us apparently) just decides to pick up and move 9 hours away.  It’s definitely not easy!

So yeah, I accepted a position with a marketing company in the Charleston area, which I am really excited about since I’ll be able to utilize both my analytical side and my creative side in this position.  I plan on busting my hump to build my photography business this year in Charleston and establishing myself in the pet community down there… and maybe even the wedding community too.  Brian + I found a wonderful apartment just north of downtown Charleston that has a great yard for the bubbas and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the way things have finally come together.  It’s been a year of ups and downs for us and it has been beyond stressful trying to plan out the logistics of moving 500+ miles from the only place we’ve ever called “home”.  However, we know this is the right decision for us and (hopefully) all that stress will be a distant memory as we savor life in the south in 2012.

Here’s to an amazing 2012 and what we hope will be a bright future for us in Charleston, SC.  Our dreams are finally coming true and I’m so excited to see what’s in store as we start this new adventure in our lives.

Oh and just in case you were wondering… YES!  I will still be booking sessions in Maryland :)  So if you are interested in a pet photography session this spring or summer, please let me know.  I’ll be making several trips back north and will do my best to accommodate anyone who would like to book a pet photography session with me during my visits back to Baltimore!  And just in case you ever journey south to Charleston, please let me know.  I’d love to do a session for you in my new home town.  It’s seriously gorgeous… I promise!
