I’ve been trying my best to find time to edit old sessions + shoot new stuff down here, but since we’re still trying to get settled into life in Charleston, it hasn’t been as easy to balance everything as I thought it would be.  Slight miscalculation on my part, I guess.  Who knew moving 500+ miles would be so difficult?! 😛  I know I’ll get back into the swing of things eventually… it will just probably take longer than I’d like since I’m so impatient with things.  So please bear with me.  I’m doing my best to keep the blog updated with new content and information, I promise!

Back in December, I blogged about the birthday surprise that Brian planned for me – horseback riding!  I had fun with my horse, Dance, that day… playing around with the light in the barn and shooting from the hip with a horse, which is much different than working with dogs or cats.  These shots were taken with both my 50mm 1.4 lens and my 24mm 1.4 lens.  I just love his horsey whiskers!!  Dance was a super patient (and curious) model that day – and isn’t he just so handsome?!  I was also lucky enough to get some really great shots of a super friendly barn cat, but I’ll save those for another post.  Enjoy!
