In late April, I finally had a chance to sneak away to this amazing location and photograph Camden.  I’d driven past this place a few times and always wanted to take the time to check it out.  The first time I tried going, another photographer was here with his (human) clients so we made a slight detour.  This time, I made sure to get there nice and early to stake my claim on these beautiful ruins.  I absolutely love incorporating non-traditional locations in my photography, but I rarely have the chance to do so.  Most of my clients prefer a more naturally beautiful location for their session, which is great and I love shooting in that setting as well.  But these types of places just get my creative juices flowing and I think it makes for an interesting backdrop.  I just love the colors and the light we found here.  Swoon.  Please enjoy these images from our location scouting trip to the middle of nowhere!
