This past Saturday we spent the afternoon at Pet Valu in Perry Hall. We held an adoption event for the BARCS foster parents, who all brought out their wonderful foster pups to mingle with the public and raise awareness of the shelter. Grey Eyes (who was adopted on Saturday after the event), Melvin, Milton (who was adopted on Sunday), Circa, Pinky, Presley, Lolla, Frederick, Peaches & Cream, Artsie and Streeper all made appearances at the event. It was a great time – the weather was perfect and the pups had a wonderful time socializing together and meeting all the people who came out to support BARCS. We hope some more of the foster pups will find themselves a forever home soon and I am looking forward to our next adoption event at the end of the month. A big thanks to Pet Valu Perry Hall for allowing us to set up a table outside their store and for giving us this great opportunity to promote the foster pups and BARCS. If you haven’t been to Pet Valu yet, I highly recommend you go. They are a wonderful company offering high quality food, treats, and toys for pets. They are a great alternative to the big box pet stores and they support local shelters, which is amazing! I love Pet Valu and go there for all of my pet care needs. They are simply wonderful! Here are some shots of the event. I know Presley and I had a blast – Presley came home and slept all afternoon/evening! I’m sure the other pups did the same. Giving love and being cute takes a toll on a pup, you know?!
