This week’s theme for The Bloom Forum’s 52 Project was “old”.  First of all, I wanted to let everyone know that I am honored to join a new group of talented photographers this week after my previous group disbanded for lack of participation.  I am so lucky that this group welcomed me into their circle and I can’t wait to see what they come up with each week.  Anyway…

For this week’s image, I had to think outside the box.  Wednesday night, I took my foster dog Karl for a walk at the local park.  He really needed to stretch his legs after being in his crate most of the day.  We waded in the stream, sniffed just about everything along the way, and came across this great old, abandoned house.  I love texture and I thought that the old, peeling paint would do just fine for this week’s theme.  So I snapped a few shots of the crackled, faded paint on this old abandoned house.

Now please go check out Jayme Franklin, a fabulous photog from the San Francisco Bay Area, to see her take on this week’s theme. Click through all the links and you’ll end up right back here where you started.  Please check back next week to see what we’ll be working on this week.  Happy Friday!
