This week’s theme for The Bloom Forum’s 52 Project was shallow depth of field.  This was a fun theme for me because I LOVE shooting wide open and when you do that, your depth of field is very shallow… we’re talking millimeters sometimes.  So for this week’s challenge, I spent some time with my 50mm 1.4 lens and started taking some photos of the plants in our backyard.  I fell in love with this particular image and I can’t explain exactly why…

Now please head on over to Bay Area lifestyle photographer Jayme Franklin‘s blog to see her take on this week’s theme.  Click through all the links and you’ll end up right back here where you started.  Please come back next week to see what we’ll be working on.  Happy Friday!
