This week’s theme for The Bloom Forum’s 52 Project was monochromatic. The week definitely got away from me since I’ve spent nearly every free minute since last Friday editing photos for BARCS, the K-9’s in the Vines event, and doing some special projects for the shelter as well. Suffice it to say, there was very little “me” time this week to get out and shoot creatively. However, I did find about 15 minutes to sneak away from my desk at work to grab these images. I’ve never been a huge fan of the color red. I’m not sure why, but I’ve definitely always been drawn to cool colors. For some reason, I saw this fire hydrant and decided this might be something fun and different to try this week… and to be honest, I’m actually really happy with these images.
Now please head on over to Bay Area Lifestyle Photographer Jayme Franklin‘s blog to see her take on this week’s theme. Click through all the links and you’ll end up right back here where you started. These talented ladies on The Bloom Forum serve as constant inspiration to me and I’m so happy to be a part of this tight-knit group of photographers. Check them out! As always, please come back next week to see what we’ll be working on. Happy Friday!
