As some of you know, I spent time last fall assisting Teri of TPoz Photography at some weddings back in Baltimore.  I absolutely loved it and had such a great time working with her.  Again, a big thank you to Teri for giving me the opportunity to discover my love of wedding photography.  I’m forever grateful for all you’ve done (and continue to do) for me.

So when I moved to Charleston in early 2012, I decided that I wanted to keep second shooting for other photographers down here.  I quickly booked a bunch of dates to shoot with some really amazing photographers and I started to think seriously about whether I’d ever want to expand my business to include wedding photography someday in the future.  After a lot of soul searching as well as an inspiring meeting with a local wedding photographer here who I really admire, I decided that after second shooting with all of these fabulous wedding photographers this year I should “just do it”.  So here I am, putting it out there.

Dana Cubbage Photography will be expanding in late 2012/early 2013 to include a wedding photography division!  I’m quietly working on the logistics, but I know it will include a completely separate website and branding.  There is a lot of work ahead but it’s all very exciting.  I’ll still be working as Dana Cubbage Photography, however the pet photography and wedding photography businesses will remain two separate entities.  There is a lot to do in the meantime, but over the next 9 months my main goal is to book at least 2-3 weddings and get my wedding photography business up + running.

So of course, booking me early on in this venture will have it’s advantages such as deeply discounted rates for the first 2 weddings that I book.  We’re talking 66% savings for the first bride that books me and 50% savings for the second!  So if you know of a bride who likes my style and is willing to take a chance on me to capture her special day, please send her my way!

Please stay tuned for more exciting announcements regarding this new side of my business and thank you SO much for your continued support.  I couldn’t do it without my fans + personal cheerleaders.
